Returns Policy at Minnie May Closet

Effective for orders placed from 1st May 2025

When placing and fulfilling an order through our website, and in store, you are agreeing to the terms outlined below.


RENTALS / HIREUK

We want your rental experience to be seamless – however, please review the updated rental return terms below:

Orders Placed on or After 1st May 2025

  • No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations or returns of rental orders.

  • You may exchange your outfit with a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice prior to your event date, subject to availability.

Orders Placed Before 1st May 2025

  • If cancelled with 2 weeks' notice or more, you are eligible for a 100% rental store credit.

  • Cancellations with less than 2 weeks' notice are eligible for a 75% credit.

  • Credits are issued in the form of an e-gift card, valid for 6 months from issue.


BOUTIQUE & JEWELLERY PURCHASES ONLINE

We accept returns for exchange or credit within 14 days of delivery.

  • All returned items must be unworn, in original condition, with tags and packaging.

  • Submit a return request via our Returns Portal

  • Credit notes only – no refunds.

  • Earrings cannot be returned due to hygiene reasons.


LIVE SHOPPING EVENTS & SALES

  • Items purchased during Live Shopping Events or Sales are non-refundable and eligible for credit only.

  • Returns must be requested within 24 hours of receiving the item, via the Returns Portal and the return posted back to us within 48 hours of the return being approved


PRELOVED ITEMS

All Preloved items are final sale.

  • Preloved items are previously worn pieces that may show signs of general wear, minor damage, or small defects. Our in-house seamstress restores each item to the best possible condition prior to sale. Every piece undergoes a full quality check, and detailed photos will be provided so you can make an informed decision before we post. Due to their nature, all preloved items are offered at significantly discounted prices.

  • No returns or exchanges can be accepted, as we cannot verify whether the item has been worn again by the buyer.


DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ITEMS

If your order is damaged, defective, or incorrect:

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable.

  • All items remain the customer’s responsibility until returned and received by Minnie May Closet.

  • Rental credits can be used across the full Minnie May website or transferred to a gift card.
